Rob is a Charlottesville native with 30 years of experience in Virginia's farm and estate market and a lifetime of experience with farms and farming. Prior to joining Frank Hardy Sotheby's International Realty, Rob worked for Sotheby's where he specialized in valuing farms and historic properties. Rob has put his college degree in geology and soil sciences to work for many clients, handling extensive land rehabilitation and improvement projects. This background, plus personal experience managing large farm and estate properties, serves his real estate clients in evaluating the appropriateness and suitability of prospective real estate investments, as well as in designing, developing and retrofitting properties to meet his client's individual needs. Rob has a special interest in equestrian estate properties, having managed a large thoroughbred racing and breeding enterprise for many years. A horseman and avid racing fan, Rob lives in Keswick with his family. His wife, Krysia, competes in the amateur owner hunter division and is an attorney specializing in equine law.
