Emma Stone Offering Malibu Perch for $4.3M

In the final weeks of last year, actress Emma Stone completed a residential real estate sale in New York. The closing brought to an end a process that had started in 2018, but it registered as a loss for Stone, who was in for $2.4 million in 2016 and out in 2021 for $2.25 million.

Hoping for a better turnout this time, Stone has turned to the other coast, and put the single-level 1958-built traditional she purchased in 2015 up for sale. She’s asking $4.295 million for the 1,764 sq. ft. home, which sits on a large lot on a bluff overlooking the ocean.

Surely 3.15 acres in Malibu will sell this property. The space is occupied by decades-old red brick walkways and superb landscaping, and culminates at the edge of the incline with a brick firepit overlook.

The three-bedroom home’s interiors are rather different from the interiors of Stone’s previous Los Angeles-area home. That house, a 3,900 square-footer in Beverly Hills which the actress sold last year for its asking price — $3.9 million — was dressed up in full kitsch regalia, or close to it.

Here, the emphasis is on a meditative brightness, and stark white dominates the interiors to keep the photons bouncing about; bringing in additional natural light is a series of skylights throughout the house, with the shared living area outfitted with around half a dozen for an especially sun-drenched living style.

The bedrooms, too, are flooded with sunlight when Apollo’s in ascendancy and the heavens are amenable; corner glass and modern series clerestories grace the master.

Stone’s upcoming projects include Poor Things, with Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, and Mark Ruffalo. A Cruella sequel may also be in the cards. More info For more information, contact Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty
